Message of Thanks from Sarang Orphanage

Hi from Sangjongri village, Wow, what can we say...We are so overwhelmed by your generosity, not in what you donated/gave. But, that you cared about these abandoned children and us. We are so touched, words cannot give justice to how we feel. so very often, we feel so very disillusioned and so alone in our service to these children. Many Koreans do not know where this village is, so for you to have given has touched our hearts. Also, it shows to the children that even though their own parents have abandoned them, others care. These children struggle with emotional problems as they have a parent/s, but they are unwanted and cast aside. Most of them give up on a future before they reach their teens. We were telling the women who came down to visit, of just one child, who when she was five years old, was taken by her mother to "play here for an hour, I will come back and get you". That was 9 years ago. This poor child is angry and troubled, who I have been able to get after months and months of me saying "I love you", to say" ... I love you, David" ,and was one of the children we took to Australia two years ago. Now, she wants to become a cook and open a restaurant for the elderly to get good cheap food. Another girl has gone on to nursing college to become a nurse ( and one day immigrate to Australia) She also was one of the children who we were able to bring out to Australia. Your kindness to them and us has certainly lifted our spirits by your giving. Also, this act of compassion will not have gone un-noticed by our God. May He bless you. If you would like to receive monthly updates, photos, etc, just let us know. 대단히 감사합니다! Thank You Very Much.In His hands,David and Sue Pobjie

there are times when you feel alone but know that you are always thought of and spoken about with the wonderful job you do in korea.what we are able to give is such a small gift compared to the work the both of you do each day. and you give those children the most important things in life love, support and a hope for a future...
